AUDREY MCLEOD January 29, 1924 - July 26, 2008 Passed away peacefully and surrounded by love. Audrey will be cherished in memory and deeply missed by her sisters, Mildred, Donalda, Dolores and brother Mel (Linda) and their families. Also by her step children Les (Sandy), Linda, Jacky (Carol) and their families and numerous treasured friends. Predeceased by loving husband Howard, step-son Bob and her beloved parents. Born in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan and raised in Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg, with many happy times living on Vimy Road. Her circle of friends grew while employed at the Deer Lodge Centre, The Bay toy department and the Thunderbird Apts. Her 23 year membership at A.N.A.F 283 brought many happy hours . Audrey was lovingly dedicated to her family and friends. She was a kind and gentle person who loved life. Her generosity was proven through her gifts of crafts, food and greeting cards. The LOVE of a great joke, the Christmas season, Halloween, and family gatherings were shared with all. Honorary pallbearers are Mel Cress, Grant McKay, Larry McKay, Les McLeod, and Hugh Reid. As per Audrey's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 6 at ANAF 283, 3584 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
